EMU OLIVES. Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

From a small grove of mostly Frantoio and Piqual olive trees, we hand pick and present the fruit to our presser within hours of picking. This preserves the freshness and integrity of the fruit. It is allowed to settle out before bottling.

In 2010 our ‘Emu Olives’ oil won a Bronze award at the National Australian Extra Virgin Olive Oil Show in Wagga Wagga NSW.

2012 tasting notes

Lifted mint and floral aromas with ripe flavours. Very good complexity. An interesting oil.

Light to medium bitterness with a warming pepper finish.

Free Fatty Acids: 0.1% (to be extra virgin, acids must be under 0.3%).
